Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

EQ Bank’s IT team is expanding and seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation and optimisation of its end‑to‑end software delivery pipeline. The role combines cloud deployment expertise, CI/CD automation and stewardship of the Microsoft Power Platform to enable rapid, reliable releases.

Key responsibilities

• Provide subject‑matter expertise on current and emerging DevOps toolchains to developers and testers.
• Design, build and maintain high‑availability CI/CD infrastructure across Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Lead capacity planning, performance analysis and system tuning for DevOps services.
• Administer the Microsoft Power Platform suite (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents) and guide citizen developers.
• Conduct code reviews, static security analysis, unit testing and code‑coverage assessments.
• Research and evaluate new technologies to continuously improve build and release processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to share best practices and resolve bottlenecks.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in CI/CD orchestration.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on cloud deployment experience (Azure, AWS or GCP).
• 2+ years with PaaS platforms such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry or IBM Bluemix.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and 5+ years using source‑control systems (Git, SVN).
• Solid understanding of the software delivery lifecycle; SecOps experience is a plus.
• 3+ years working with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes or equivalents).
