Senior Designer, Hospitality

About the role

NORR is seeking a Senior Designer to lead hospitality design projects, creating memorable guest experiences while meeting budget, schedule, and quality goals. You will collaborate across disciplines and guide design from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Compile and analyze project information to define broad requirements.
• Develop architectural designs that meet quality, timeline, and budget parameters.
• Coordinate design intent with engineering, MEP, and structural disciplines.
• Integrate site surveys, field reviews, and code requirements into design solutions.
• Prepare design reports, drawings, and 3D models following office standards.
• Conduct site visits to verify construction compliance and resolve deviations.
• Review shop drawings and project deliverables for adherence to codes and corporate quality controls.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in architectural project work, preferably in hospitality.
• Experience across all project phases, from concept to construction.
• Post‑secondary education in architecture or related field; professional registration is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop.
• Strong knowledge of MEP and structural building systems.
• Familiarity with applicable building codes and jurisdictional requirements.
