Senior Data Engineer

About the role

Relay is a digital banking platform for small businesses. We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to scale our data ecosystem and ensure teams have timely, accurate data for decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain dbt models in Snowflake to enable reliable, privacy‑preserving analytics.
• Own and evolve the data platform’s scalability, infrastructure, and tooling as the company grows.
• Partner with stakeholders to create systems that track core KPIs and support business intelligence.
• Collaborate with Trust, Security, and Governance teams to uphold data security and compliance.

Required profile

• 3+ years of data engineering experience with strong SQL (including window functions, optimization, schema design).
• Proficiency in Python and ability to write clean, production‑grade code.
• Hands‑on experience with dbt, Dagster, Snowflake, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Metabase or Mode and a track record of extracting value from large datasets.
