Senior Claims Examiner – Toronto

About the role

The International Programs Group (IPG) is seeking a Senior Claims Examiner to join its growing team in Canada. The role involves managing property claims from start to finish using a desktop model, providing high‑quality service to internal and external clients.

Key responsibilities

• Directly handle moderate to intermediate complex property claims.
• Examine and assess complex claims and guide field adjusters on investigations.
• Settle claims with insured parties or their representatives.
• Administer claim payments and settlements through trust accounts.
• Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure client needs are met and report to syndicates or self‑insured entities.

Required profile

• Independent Adjuster license valid in Canada.
• 3‑7 years of experience in claims adjusting or examining.
• Demonstrated track record of performance in a TPA or insurance environment.
• Strong planning, organization, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience with the Lloyd’s market is an asset.

Required skills

• Independent Adjuster license.
• CIP coursework or progress toward a CIP designation.
