About the role
The Office of the CIO (OCIO) at UBC is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead the analysis and design of IT‑enabled projects across the university. You will work within the Program Delivery office, shaping how automated systems support both short‑term initiatives and long‑term strategic goals.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse business needs and develop strategies for automated system solutions.
- Lead business process discovery, requirements definition, analysis, design, configuration, implementation, testing, training, facilitation and documentation.
- Own and drive the business analysis process throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare project plans, schedules and strategies; communicate status, risks, issues and decisions to project managers.
- Collaborate with developers, functional experts, senior leadership and academic units.
Required profile
- Senior‑level experience in business analysis for enterprise IT solutions.
- Proven ability to work within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong communication skills for reporting to senior managers and stakeholders.
- Experience reporting to PMO operations and interacting with senior university leadership.
