Senior AI Platform Engineer

About the role

EQB is looking for a Senior AI Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust, scalable AI platform components that power its next‑generation banking services. You will work closely with developers, data engineers, DevOps, and data scientists to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and ship high‑performance AI platform services and APIs.
• Participate in design and architecture discussions to ensure flexibility, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support AI and data workflows.
• Review, optimise, and maintain code for performance and compliance.
• Mentor junior developers on best practices and platform tooling.
• Ensure platform security, monitoring, and operational compliance.
• Provide production support and troubleshoot platform issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of hands‑on Java development using Spring Boot.
• Proven experience building RESTful APIs and working with XML/JSON data.
• Strong background in large‑scale, distributed systems.
• Experience with containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Proficiency with source‑control tools (Git, IntelliJ) and design patterns.
• Solid practice of Test‑Driven Development and unit testing.
