Security Operations Analyst

About the role

The Security Operations Analyst will support the firm’s cybersecurity operations by monitoring, analysing and responding to security events that affect systems and data. Reporting to the Manager, Security Operations, the analyst contributes to daily security tasks such as threat monitoring, incident response support, vulnerability tracking and validation of security controls. The role operates in a professional services environment where confidentiality, client trust and regulatory compliance are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and system activity using security tools and monitoring platforms to detect potential threats, suspicious behaviour or incidents.
• Assist incident response by investigating, documenting and coordinating response actions with IT teams and external partners to contain and resolve events.
• Support vulnerability management by reviewing scan results, tracking remediation and working with technical teams to reduce risks.
• Analyse logs, alerts and system data to determine root causes of security events and recommend appropriate actions.
• Help operate and maintain security tools and controls, contributing to documentation, reporting and continuous improvement of security processes.
