Security Advisor Specialist – Threat Profiling

About the role

Within Intact’s Cyber Defence function, the Threat Exposure Oversight Specialist strengthens how security risks are identified, measured, validated and tracked across the organisation. This role translates red‑team findings and threat‑intelligence into measurable detection and control expectations, ensuring residual risk is visible to leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Convert red‑team and threat‑intel scenarios into measurable detection coverage and control expectations.
• Map threat techniques to telemetry sources and detection logic.
• Validate detection implementations through evidence collection and testing.
• Document residual risk and present findings to senior leadership.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Threat Intelligence, Detection Engineering, Incident Response and Insider Threat teams.
• Maintain a clear, accountable view of the organisation’s threat exposure.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cyber‑defence, threat‑exposure oversight or related security functions.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex threat scenarios into actionable security controls.
• Excellent communication skills to convey risk findings to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple security domains.
