About the role

Join the loudest store in the mall as a Seasonal Sales Associate for Hot Topic. You’ll help fans experience the best in music and pop‑culture merchandise while delivering top‑notch customer service in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide an amazing shopping experience that encourages repeat visits, using product knowledge and customer‑service skills.
• Maintain visual standards on the sales floor, covering assigned zones and ensuring displays are appealing.
• Operate the register, process transactions, and promote add‑on sales such as BOPIS and curbside pickup.
• Assist with planogram changes, updating store maps, walls, fixtures, and merchandising mixes.
• Communicate fashion and music trends to management and corporate partners.
• Work with store management to prevent theft and ensure loss‑prevention procedures are followed.
• Keep the stockroom organized and the store tidy, handling merchandise up to 50 lb.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve daily goals and complete any additional tasks assigned by the Store Leader.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a retail environment; a passion for music and pop culture is essential.
• Strong customer‑service and sales abilities, often described as “superpowers.”
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, able to work well within a team.
• Physical ability to navigate the store, merchandise products, and lift boxes weighing up to 50 lb.
