Seasonal Customer Experience Representative - Operations

About the role

Join Indigo’s store team in Edmonton as a Seasonal Customer Experience Representative – Operations. You will support daily store operations before opening, create a welcoming environment, and help customers discover books and lifestyle products that bring joy.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily store operations with an early‑morning start (5 AM).
• Conduct inventory cycle counts, replenish stock, manage product returns, and receive incoming merchandise.
• Shelve products and apply merchandising standards to create a visually appealing store.
• Engage customers on the floor, curate product collections, and share stories that connect them to the Indigo brand.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and prioritize health and safety for staff and shoppers.
• Respond promptly to customer feedback and hold yourself and teammates accountable.
• Continuously develop yourself, share ideas with leadership, and model Indigo’s high‑performance characteristics.

Required profile

• Experience in specialty retail or a retail environment preferred but not required.
• Adaptability, flexibility, and willingness to learn all aspects of store operations.
• Commitment to delivering an exceptional employee and customer experience.
• Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods and lift items up to 40 lb safely.
• Availability for a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, overnights, and early mornings.
• Bilingualism (French/English) required for Quebec positions; other languages are an asset.
