Science & Math Teacher for Grades 7-12 (Full‑time)

About the role

The School District No. 5 is seeking a dedicated Science & Math teacher to join Elkford Secondary School. This full‑time, continuing position will serve students in grades 7‑12, delivering engaging instruction in Science (grades 9‑10 and Anatomy) and junior Math courses.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess curriculum for Science 9, Science 10, Anatomy, and junior Math.
• Create lesson plans that align with provincial standards and support diverse learning needs.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide timely feedback.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to enhance the school learning environment.
• Participate in professional development and school events as required.

Required profile

• BC Teacher Certification preferred.
• Degree or formal training in Science and/or Mathematics at the secondary level.
• Demonstrated teaching experience with secondary‑level students.
• Ability to teach across grades 7‑12 and adapt instruction to varied abilities.
