Satellite On‑Orbit Operation Engineer

About the role

The Satellite On‑Orbit Operation Engineer will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of a LEO/MEO communication constellation. Working in a 24/7 Satellite Operations Control Center, you will ensure the health, safety and performance of the fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, control and command satellites throughout their mission life.
• Analyse telemetry, execute commands and troubleshoot anomalies.
• Perform orbit maintenance, health monitoring and collision‑avoidance (conjunction) analysis.
• Coordinate with ground stations, develop flight procedures and automate scripts.
• Participate in shift rotations within the SOCC.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace or related field with 10+ years of LEO/MEO mission planning, on‑orbit testing and operations.
• Proven experience in launch and early orbit phase (LEOP) and working in mission operations centres.
• Fluent English; French is a plus.

Required skills

• Orbit mechanics, space environment and RF telecommunications.
• Ground‑segment and space‑segment expertise.
• Collision avoidance, conjunction analysis and ITU/FCC/ESA compliance.
• GNC concepts and collaboration.
• Proficiency with Confluence and JIRA.
