Satellite Database Systems Engineer – Hybrid/Remote

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Satellite Database Systems Engineer to develop, integrate, and maintain satellite mission databases for advanced LEO and MEO communication systems. The role works closely with flight software, mission operations, and systems engineering teams to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and operational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain satellite telemetry and command databases for mission operations.
• Support integration of satellite databases with mission control systems and flight software.
• Develop and manage Management Information Base (MIB) telemetry and command databases.
• Validate database configurations and ensure operational readiness.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, flight software, and mission operations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform database testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Maintain technical documentation, database configurations, and operational procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience with satellite telemetry and command databases.
• Experience supporting satellite database development for LEO and/or MEO communication constellations.
• Familiarity with satellite telemetry ground systems, mission control software, and flight software integration.
• Strong understanding of satellite mission operations, telemetry processing, and command database management.
