SAP ABAP Development Lead

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned SAP Development Lead to drive ABAP and Core Data Services (CDS) development for S/4HANA projects. You will lead both on‑shore and off‑shore teams, ensure technical quality, and work closely with architects, functional leads, and senior client stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead SAP ABAP and CDS development activities, including detailed technical design and hands‑on coding.
• Define and enforce CDS view design standards, VDM layering conventions, annotation governance, and DCL access‑control patterns.
• Act as the on‑shore Development Lead, ensuring compliance with clearance and security requirements from QA onward.
• Collaborate with offshore teams to maintain quality, standards, and integration across landscapes, including CDS‑based data services and Fiori back‑end artifacts.
• Design technical integration using SAP PO/PI, APIs, and CDS‑exposed OData endpoints.
• Design and support SAP Fiori applications using RAP patterns for transactional and analytical use cases.
• Partner with SAP architects, functional leads, testing teams, and client stakeholders to deliver secure, compliant solutions.

Required profile

• Strong SAP development background with hands‑on expertise in ABAP and CDS for S/4HANA.
• Proven technical leadership in regulated, security‑constrained environments.
• Ability to set direction, govern standards, and drive quality across distributed teams.
• Comfortable engaging with senior architects, functional leads, and client executives.
• Willingness to work on‑site three days per week in the Montreal ATC office.
