About the role
Bureau Veritas Canada is seeking a Sample Weigher to join its Minerals Canada team in Vancouver. Working the night shift, you will ensure client samples are accurately weighed and prepared for further analysis, supporting high‑quality laboratory operations.
Key responsibilities
- Weigh client samples into test tubes or other labware with precision.
- Organise and move sample boxes safely for production flow.
- Record sample data accurately in written logs or internal systems.
- Follow occupational health and safety legislation, BV policies, Upstream Minerals Management System, and ISO standards.
- Wear required personal protective equipment and maintain a safe work environment.
Required profile
- High school diploma (minimum).
- Good manual dexterity, hand‑eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently on repetitive, physically demanding tasks.
- Experience in a mineral processing or analytical lab is an asset.
- Familiarity with WHMIS and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) is a plus.
Required skills
- Basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of WHMIS safety standards.
- Understanding of GLP requirements.
What we offer
- Competitive hourly wage ranging from $21.51 to $24.00 CAD, depending on shift.
- Fixed‑term contract until December 18, 2026.
