Sales Associate – Part‑Time Retail

About the role

Join the loudest store in the mall and help create the ultimate experience for music and pop‑culture fans. As a Sales Associate you will play a key part in delivering top‑notch customer service and ensuring fans can get the merch they love.

Key responsibilities

• Provide an amazing shopping experience that encourages repeat visits, using strong product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Maintain visual standards on the sales floor, covering assigned zones and ensuring merchandise is well‑stocked and attractively displayed.
• Operate the register, process sales transactions, and promote add‑on sales through services such as BOPIS and curbside pickup.
• Assist with planogram updates, including adjustments to store maps, walls, fixtures, and merchandising mixes.
• Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and corporate partners.
• Help keep the stockroom organized and the store tidy, handling merchandise up to 50 lb.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve store goals and support loss‑prevention efforts.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a retail environment.
• Passion for music, pop culture, and the Hot Topic brand.
• Minimum age of 16 years.
• Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 lb.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
