About the role

Join the loudest store in the mall! We're looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Sales Associate, you'll be a huge part of our success by providing the best customer service, ensuring that fellow fans can get their hands on the merch they love. You'll share your fandom knowledge, stock and replenish products, and help merchandise the store in a visually appealing way, all while being hyper‑focused on the in‑store experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide an amazing shopping experience that will encourage customers to return, showcasing product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Cover the sales floor zone and ensure assigned areas meet visual standards.
• Work the register, using fandom knowledge to process sales and drive add‑on sales through BOPIS and curbside pickup.
• Assist with planogram changes, including store map, wall, fixture, and merchandising mix.
• Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ partners.
• Help prevent theft by working with store management to secure merchandise.
• Maintain the stock room and keep the store tidy.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve store goals.
• Perform any other activities assigned by the Store Leader.

Required profile

• Previous experience working in a retail environment.
• Passion for music and pop culture.
• Strong customer service and sales abilities.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products, and handle boxes up to 50 pounds.
