Rock Tools Technician

About the role

Sandvik Mining is looking for a Rock Tools Technician to join its team in Timmins, Ontario. This entry‑level position supports rock‑tools contracts by guiding customers on proper tool usage, managing inventory and ensuring timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage rock‑tools inventory, track issues, discards and losses.
• Repair and maintain rock tools to defined specifications.
• Deliver rock‑tools products to customers.
• Use the Rock Tools Management System to monitor performance and generate reports.
• Troubleshoot tool issues and provide technical recommendations to supervisors and sales representatives.
• Report improper usage or selection by operators.
• Complete accurate time, technical and failure reports.
• Build relationships with internal and external customers to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform daily/weekly stock counts and other duties as assigned.
• Follow all health, safety and environmental policies, conduct risk assessments and maintain a safe work area.

Required profile

• Secondary school (high school) completion.
• Interest in mining or construction equipment; prior exposure to Sandvik products is a plus.
• Detail‑oriented with good written and verbal communication.
• Self‑motivated, flexible and able to work varied shifts.
• Valid driver’s licence in good standing.
