Retail Supervisor

About the role

The Retail Supervisor will lead a small team in a rural retail service establishment, ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent customer service. This permanent, full‑time position reports to store management and focuses on staff supervision, inventory control, and sales performance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise 3‑4 staff members, including apprentices and sales workers.
• Assign duties, establish work schedules, and conduct performance reviews.
• Hire, train, or arrange training for new employees.
• Order merchandise, authorize returns, and manage cash handling.
• Sell merchandise and work toward sales targets.
• Organize and maintain inventory, resolve customer complaints and supply shortages.
• Maintain store cleanliness and visual merchandising standards.
• Oversee payroll administration and ensure accurate sales reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant retail supervision experience.
• Ability to manage a small team and handle cash and inventory processes.
• Strong communication skills and ability to resolve customer issues promptly.
