About the role
Popular Bakery is seeking a proactive Retail Store Supervisor to lead its Edmonton location. The role involves overseeing daily store operations, managing staff, and ensuring excellent customer service in a fast‑paced bakery environment. You will coordinate daily activities, maintain inventory accuracy, and uphold store policies.
Key responsibilities
- Assign sales staff to duties and create work schedules.
- Hire, train, or coordinate training for new employees.
- Authorize merchandise returns and handle customer complaints.
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising performance, and personnel matters.
- Maintain inventory levels and coordinate stock replenishment.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of all store workers.
- Resolve supply shortages and other operational issues promptly.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation (high school diploma) or equivalent.
- 1 to less than 2 years of experience in retail or supervisory roles.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Availability to work day shifts and weekends.
