Retail Store Associate – Part-Time

About the role

Giant Tiger is seeking friendly, motivated individuals to join our store team in Winnipeg. As a Retail Store Associate you will help customers find the right products, ensure smooth checkout experiences, and keep the store organized.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑level customer service and assist shoppers with product inquiries.
• Accurately process transactions using electronic cash registers, mainline and self‑checkout stations.
• Replenish merchandise around the checkout area and maintain planograms, labels, and signage.
• Perform markdowns, SKU changes, and cycle counts as needed.
• Follow health, safety, tobacco, and lottery compliance policies.
• Keep the checkout work area clean, organized, and loss‑prevention focused.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Comfort handling multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Attention to detail and effective communication skills.

Required skills

• POS system operation (electronic cash register, mainline, self‑checkout).
• Cash handling.
• Basic inventory management and cycle counting.
