Restaurant Manager – Winnipeg

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations at Westwood Village Inn Smitty's Restaurant and Lounge in Winnipeg. The role involves overseeing staff, managing budgets, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and develop budgets ranging from $500,001 to $1,500,000 to maximise profitability.
• Monitor revenues, labour costs and adjust menu pricing and food preparation methods accordingly.
• Recruit, schedule, train, supervise and evaluate a team of 50‑100 staff members.
• Maintain inventory, negotiate with suppliers and ensure compliance with health, safety and liquor legislation.
• Balance cash, prepare financial reports and conduct performance reviews.
• Participate in marketing initiatives and manage events, catering and customer service issues.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of restaurant management experience.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Team‑player with flexibility and organizational abilities.
