Restaurant Manager

About the role

The Swiss Chalet 1971 in Gravenhurst is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations and drive profitability. You will oversee a team of 16‑20 staff members in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring excellent customer service and compliance with health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze budgets and monitor revenues to control labour costs and maximize profit.
• Plan, organize and supervise daily restaurant operations, including staffing schedules and inventory management.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate staff performance, conducting regular performance reviews.
• Maintain cash handling procedures, balance sheets and financial reports.
• Implement operational procedures, health and safety regulations, and address customer complaints.
• Participate in marketing initiatives and help develop service offerings.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• 2 to less than 3 years of experience in restaurant or hospitality management.
• Proven ability to lead a team of 16‑20 employees in a high‑pressure setting.
• Strong client focus, dependability, excellent oral communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask, work evenings, mornings, days, weekends as required.
