Restaurant Manager – Chinese Buffet

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead the daily operations of our Chinese buffet in Winnipeg. You will be responsible for maintaining profitability, ensuring high‑quality service, and managing a diverse team in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and develop budgets to control food, beverage, and supply costs.
• Evaluate daily operations and adjust food preparation methods and menu pricing.
• Monitor revenues, labour costs and staff performance.
• Plan, organize and supervise daily restaurant activities, including recruitment, scheduling and training.
• Maintain cash handling procedures, balance sheets and financial reports.
• Enforce provincial liquor legislation and health‑safety regulations.
• Manage inventory, negotiate with suppliers and handle catering client arrangements.
• Participate in marketing initiatives and address customer complaints.

Required profile

• College diploma (1‑2 years) or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of restaurant management experience.
• Mandarin language asset.
• Certifications: Smart Serve, Safe Food Handling, Food Safety.
• Availability for shift, on‑call work, nights, weekends and overtime.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Excel.
• Experience using MS Office suite (Word, Outlook, Windows).
• Familiarity with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
