Restaurant Manager – Calgary

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations at J Club Grill & Bar in Calgary. The successful candidate will drive profitability, ensure compliance with liquor regulations, and deliver an exceptional guest experience in a fast‑paced urban environment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze budgets and adjust menu pricing and food preparation methods to maximise profit.
• Plan, organise and supervise daily restaurant operations, including staff scheduling and recruitment.
• Maintain accurate cash handling, balance sheets and financial reports.
• Enforce provincial liquor legislation and health‑safety standards.
• Manage inventory, negotiate with suppliers and oversee catering contracts.
• Address customer complaints and ensure high service standards.
• Lead a team of 16‑20 staff members, providing training and performance feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2–3 years of experience in restaurant or hospitality management.
• Ability to work shift and weekend schedules in a fast‑paced environment.
• Criminal record check clearance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
