Restaurant Host/Hostess

About the role

Stanley's Bar and Grill, located in the historic Stanley Park Pavilion, is seeking an energetic Host or Hostess to join our front‑of‑house team. You will be the first point of contact for guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere and supporting the serving staff throughout a busy dining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests with a smile, manage reservations and seat guests according to section rotation.
• Assist the serving team by taking drink orders, delivering food, and ensuring tables are set with clean glassware and cutlery.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors, walls, counters, windows, and restaurant equipment.
• Promote a positive, team‑oriented work environment and follow all handbook procedures.
• Observe health and safety standards, report hazards promptly, and ensure personal fitness for duty.

Required profile

• Strong communication and people skills with a positive, upbeat attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, multitask and handle varied shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Physical capability to lift up to 20 lb, climb a step ladder or stool, and work in diverse weather conditions.
• Serving It Right certification is an asset.
