Restaurant Host/Hostess – Guest Services

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for guests at Playground’s new restaurant in Kahnawake, near Montreal. The role involves greeting patrons, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating flow to create a memorable dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and escort them to their tables or bar areas.
• Provide accurate wait times, monitor waiting lists, and manage reservations.
• Maintain knowledge of table numbers and their locations to optimize seating.
• Keep the reception area clean and organized.
• Assist with clearing and setting tables when time permits.
• Coordinate with bus staff to ensure efficient service.

Required profile

• Bilingual in French and English, 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational abilities.
• Ability to multitask, stay calm and professional in a fast‑paced environment.
• Positive, collaborative team player with strong time‑management skills.
• Physical ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
