About the role
Hotel Arts is seeking a dynamic Restaurant Floor Manager to lead its dining outlets in Calgary. The role focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences through strong leadership, innovative service, and efficient operations.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure budget adherence, resolve audit challenges, manage labor costs, and oversee inventory levels.
- Implement and maintain restaurant software systems, including Symphony and Open Table.
- Hire, train, and evaluate restaurant staff; develop training programs and coordinate onboarding.
- Oversee staff performance, enforce policies and standards, and manage daily operations.
- Manage staffing levels, scheduling, closing responsibilities, and respond to guest inquiries.
- Liaise with other departments, develop strategies to increase patronage, and ensure venue functionality and cleanliness.
Required profile
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a dining or hospitality setting.
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for exceptional service.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
- Valid ProServe Certificate.
- Authorization to work in Canada.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Open Table.
- Experience using Micros.
- Familiarity with Symphony restaurant software.
- General computer skills and knowledge of food and beverage service.
