Resort Operations Assistant Manager – Marina & RV Resort

About the role

We are seeking a Resort Operations Assistant Manager to support day‑to‑day operations at Pedder Bay Marina and RV Resort in Metchosin. This hands‑on, frontline role focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences while ensuring safe, best‑in‑class marina and resort services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service across Marina and RV Resort operations, embodying the “Yes I Can” philosophy.
• Manage RV reservations, annual and transient moorage, rental boats and waiting lists to maximize revenue.
• Oversee the Guest Service Supervisor and crew, ensuring service standards, scheduling, and safe, cost‑efficient operations.
• Support the Resort Manager in all operational areas and maintain service continuity in their absence.
• Handle inventory ordering with the Purchaser and maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Supervise cash‑out, daily/monthly reporting, payment reconciliation and bookkeeping.
• Maintain resort property, facilities and surrounding area to OBMG standards for safety and guest satisfaction.
• Communicate professionally with guests, crew, suppliers and vendors, representing OBMG at all times.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education or equivalent experience in business, recreation or hospitality management.
• Recent experience supervising a diverse team in a marina, recreational or hospitality setting.
• Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Suite.
• Pleasure Craft Operator’s Certificate (PCOC) – asset.
• Occupational First Aid and CPR Level 1 (or equivalent).
• Cash handling and basic accounting.
