Residential Designer

About the role

As a Residential Designer at NORR, you will join a multidisciplinary team to create high‑quality, sustainable design solutions for multi‑family projects. You will work across all project phases, translating client visions into built environments that support smart growth and wellness.

Key responsibilities

• Compile and analyze project information from reports and publications to define design requirements.
• Develop architectural designs that meet quality, budget, and timeline goals.
• Coordinate design intent with engineering, MEP, and structural disciplines.
• Integrate site surveys, field reviews, and code requirements into design documentation.
• Prepare design reports, drawings, and 3D models following office standards.
• Conduct site visits to verify construction compliance and resolve deviations with owners and contractors.
• Review shop drawings and project deliverables for adherence to codes and corporate quality controls.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of architectural project experience, preferably in residential projects.
• Experience across all phases of the design cycle.
• Completed post‑secondary education in architecture or a related field.
• Registration with a professional architectural association is an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop.
• Strong knowledge of MEP and structural building systems and applicable building codes.

What we offer

• Competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $105,000 CAD per year.
