Researcher – Human-Computer Interaction

About the role

We are looking for a researcher to lead Human‑Computer Interaction and human‑AI studies for next‑generation intelligent terminal devices, with a focus on agentic AI, multimodal interfaces, and tight hardware‑software integration.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute mixed‑method research—including contextual inquiry, diary studies, hardware usability testing, controlled experiments, and behavioral/log analysis—to evaluate how users understand, trust, and collaborate with AI systems.
• Translate ambiguous device capabilities into clear research plans, hypotheses, study designs, success metrics, and actionable recommendations.
• Synthesize findings into narratives, frameworks, journey maps, and design principles that shape product direction and technical road‑maps.
• Prototype and test new human‑AI workflows such as conversational agents, proactive assistants, multimodal task delegation, and cross‑device handoff.
• Collaborate with AI researchers, hardware engineers, software developers, designers, and product managers to turn user insights into interaction models and evaluation rubrics.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in HCI, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Human Factors, Computer Science, Design Research or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• 3+ years of applied HCI, UX or human‑AI interaction research in consumer electronics, smart hardware or embedded systems.
• Strong command of qualitative and quantitative research methods and the ability to choose pragmatic approaches under product constraints.
• Experience designing evaluation frameworks and building technical prototypes for AI‑powered products such as voice assistants, copilots, recommendation systems, AR/VR or multimodal interfaces.
• Working fluency with AI/ML concepts including LLMs, multimodal models, agentic workflows, prompt behavior, model limitations, hallucination, personalization, privacy and evaluation trade‑offs.
