Research and Program Assistant

About the role

The University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Medicine is seeking a Research and Program Assistant to support the design, delivery, and evaluation of continuing professional development (CPD) programs for physicians and health professionals across British Columbia.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the research, development, and coordination of custom educational programs and courses.
• Manage the delivery of both online and in‑person CPD programs, ensuring smooth execution.
• Monitor program budgets, timelines, and participant feedback to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with faculty, clinicians, and external partners to align program content with provincial health priorities.
• Maintain accurate records and reports for accreditation and quality assurance purposes.

Required profile

• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Interest in medical education and health professional development.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
• Experience using learning management systems or online education platforms.
