Remote System Administrator – Cloud Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking a skilled System Administrator to join a global technology leader on a contract basis. The position is fully remote and focuses on managing, securing, and optimizing cloud‑based infrastructure to ensure high availability for mission‑critical services.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and administer cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) including servers, networks, and storage.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and implement proactive fixes to minimize downtime.
• Enforce security best practices, conduct vulnerability assessments, and manage access controls.
• Automate routine operations using Bash, Python, PowerShell, and configuration‑management tools.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deploy updates and resolve technical challenges.

Required profile

• Strong background in Linux/Unix system administration.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Proven ability to write and maintain automation scripts.
• Familiarity with monitoring solutions such as Nagios, Zabbix or Prometheus.
