Remote HR Generalist – Canada

About the role

We are looking for a Remote HR Generalist to support our distributed workforce across Canada. You will ensure consistent HR operations, employee support, and compliance‑ready documentation while partnering with managers and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle documentation for all provinces.
• Maintain HRIS data integrity, run reports, conduct audits, and control access.
• Support benefits administration, leave management, and enrollment changes.
• Coordinate payroll inputs and resolve employee pay/benefits inquiries with vendors.
• Handle employee relations intake, assist with investigations, and document outcomes.
• Facilitate performance management cycles, calibration logistics, and manager enablement.
• Draft, update, and communicate HR policies (remote work, conduct, time off, compliance).
• Ensure compliance with Canadian employment standards and privacy regulations.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition on requisition intake, screening, and hiring workflows.
• Track HR metrics (turnover, time‑to‑fill, onboarding completion, case volumes) and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• 3+ years of HR Generalist experience supporting remote or multi‑site teams.
• Working knowledge of Canadian employment standards and provincial variations.
• Strong documentation skills for policies, SOPs, and employee‑relations case notes.
• Ability to coordinate across time zones and manage confidential information.

Required skills

• Experience with HRIS tools such as Workday, BambooHR, ADP, or Rippling.
