About the role
The Oncology department at Louise Marshall Hospital is seeking a casual Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care within the oncology and medical day‑care program.
Key responsibilities
- Assess patients and families and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer and teach chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments.
- Perform medical day‑care procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, bone‑marrow biopsies and lumbar punctures.
- Provide supportive and palliative care and participate in quality‑improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate referrals, research participation and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Required profile
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing.
- BScN or related degree (preferred) and completion of the de Souza Provincial Standardized Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Course (mandatory).
- Experience with systemic chemotherapy administration and intravenous, PICC and Portacath access.
- Current BCLS certification and strong attendance record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an inter‑professional team.
- Computer literacy and commitment to ongoing professional development.
Required skills

- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification.

- Hourly wage ranging from $40.24 to $57.68 (CAD).
