Registered Nurse – Endoscopy (0.60 FTE)

About the role

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Endoscopy unit at Grace Hospital. This part‑time (0.60 FTE) position provides professional nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, with a focus on safety, coordination, and quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver independent nursing services, including assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient care.
• Administer prescribed medical treatments and medications safely.
• Lead and collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Coordinate patient flow, discharge planning, and follow‑up care.
• Provide standby coverage on days, weekends, and as required.

Required profile

• Minimum two years recent surgical or medical nursing experience.
• Recent endoscopy experience preferred; acute care experience also preferred.
• Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing program; post‑basic certification may be required.
• Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) and CPR certification per employer policy.
• Satisfactory employment record and active participation in professional nursing associations.

Required skills

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) proficiency.
• Knowledge of CRNM Standards of Practice and Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics.
• Familiarity with the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA) scope of practice.
• Understanding of relevant legislation such as PHIA, WHMIS, and Universal Precautions.
• Effective oral and written communication.
