Registered Nurse – Early Psychosis Intervention

About the role
The Regional Intervention in Psychosis team at North Bay Regional Health Centre is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead knowledge transfer, collaborative care planning, and system coordination for the Early Psychosis Intervention (EPI) program. Reporting to the Manager, Mental Health, the incumbent will work across community and clinical settings to enhance capacity for early psychosis care.
Key responsibilities
- Provide education and knowledge exchange to a variety of sectors, applying adult‑learning principles.
- Facilitate inter‑collaborative care planning and coordinate networks of care for EPI patients.
- Apply best‑practice frameworks such as the Navigate Model, EPION standards, CBT and DBT.
- Support families and promote trauma‑informed, recovery‑oriented care.
- Participate in program evaluation, research methodology, and quality‑improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate (within the past 12 months).
- Three to five years of mental‑health nursing experience with early psychosis populations.
- Commitment to evidence‑based practice, patient‑centred care, and inclusive culture.
Required skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Psychotherapy training (preferred)
- Familiarity with the Navigate Model
- Knowledge of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)
- Program evaluation and research methodology expertise
