Regional Quality Control Manager

About the role

The Regional QA/QC Manager is based in Saskatoon, SK and will travel to field locations across the region as needed. Reporting to the General Manager, this role is a member of the regional leadership team and is responsible for establishing and maintaining quality assurance and control programs for construction projects, service & FMO, and the company’s fabrication facility.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) for the Saskatchewan region.
• Maintain TSASK, ABSA and CWB certifications and ensure timely renewals.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable quality standards.
• Provide mentorship and act as a subject‑matter expert in welding and non‑destructive testing.
• Establish quality objectives, metrics and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Review and approve Project Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), turnover packages and related documentation.
• Monitor field construction activities for compliance with approved procedures, specifications and drawings.
• Hire, train, mentor and manage field and shop Quality Inspectors.
• Conduct regular site assessments and audits to verify adherence to quality requirements.
• Investigate quality issues, non‑conformances and implement corrective actions.
• Support project teams during client inspections, audits and turnover activities.

Required profile

• Demonstrated leadership experience in QA/QC within construction or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes and non‑destructive testing methods.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, TSASK, ABSA and CWB certification requirements.
• Ability to develop and manage quality documentation such as QMS, Project Quality Plans and ITPs.
• Experience conducting audits, site assessments and implementing corrective actions.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with operations, VDC, fabrication, project management and field personnel.
