Red Seal Millwright for FIFO Mining Construction in Nunavut

About the role

We are looking for experienced Red Seal Millwrights to join a major mining construction project in western Nunavut. The position is FIFO from Edmonton with camp accommodations, offering a two‑year construction phase and the possibility of a long‑term operational role.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery such as conveyors, crushers, mills, and processing equipment.
• Align and balance rotating equipment using precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot mechanical systems and perform preventive maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Collaborate with other trades to ensure safe and compliant construction and maintenance work.

Required profile

• Journeyman Millwright certification (Red Seal preferred); Alberta‑based candidates strongly preferred.
• 3–5 years of industrial millwright experience, preferably in mining or heavy‑industrial environments.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean abstract and ability to work in remote camp settings.
• Physical fitness for demanding work conditions and strong problem‑solving abilities.
