Recreation Attendant

About the role

The Recreation Attendant supports daily operations of the Currie Gymnasium and assists in promoting intramural and recreational activities for the university community. This part‑time position works closely with the Intramural Assistant Manager to ensure a safe and engaging environment for participants.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and maintain sporting equipment and facilities for various activities.
• Conduct equipment inventory, quality checks, and report any issues.
• Assist with emergency procedures and document program‑related incidents.
• Provide nightly activity reports and deliver excellent customer service to participants.
• Report to the Intramural Assistant Manager and support event promotion.

Required profile

• High school diploma and at least 2‑3 years of referee or relevant sport experience.
• Familiarity with McGill’s intramural community and management platforms is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with participants in both English and French.
• Authorized to work in Canada and willing to work in Quebec.

• Hourly wage of $20.00 (CAD) for a part‑time schedule of approximately 6 hours per week.
