About the role
The Records Support Clerk provides administrative support to Service Canada by handling enquiries, processing documents, managing mail, and performing data entry in a fast‑paced government environment.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and forward telephone or electronic enquiries.
- Sort, process and verify applications, receipts and other documents.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail manually or electronically.
- Send and receive messages.
- Photocopy and collate documents for distribution, mailing and filing.
- Perform data entry.
- File material in storage area and label files according to retention and disposal schedules.
- Label, file and retrieve documents; locate and remove files as requested.
Required profile
- Fast‑paced environment; work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail with ability to perform repetitive tasks while sitting, standing, and walking.
- Collaborative, hardworking, and reliable with strong oral and written communication skills.
