Raw Materials Planner

About the role

NovaTaste is seeking a Raw Materials Planner to ensure timely delivery and accurate replenishment of raw materials across its Canadian plants and warehouses. The role supports inventory management, leverages SAP ERP for planning, and drives continuous improvement in procurement and supply chain processes.

Key responsibilities

• Run MRP for the assigned raw‑material portfolio and execute replenishment plans.
• Analyse production schedules and demand forecasts to determine material requirements.
• Generate and manage purchase orders to guarantee on‑time material availability.
• Monitor open orders and expected deliveries to prevent shortages or delays.
• Collaborate with Operations, R&D, Quality, Production and other functions to harmonise planning across plants.
• Develop and maintain optimal inventory levels, analysing usage trends and lead times.
• Liaise with suppliers to communicate forecasts, delivery schedules and quality requirements.
• Utilise ERP systems to update lead times, maintain master data and manage purchase orders.
• Participate in S&OP, sustainability projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in material planning or inventory management within a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret production schedules, forecasts and usage trends.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with Operations, Procurement, Quality and Finance.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous‑improvement and cost‑saving initiatives.

Required skills

• SAP ERP (material planning and MRP modules).
