Quality Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Supervisor to join a leading Canadian general contractor in Vancouver. The successful candidate will develop and implement project quality plans, coordinate QA/QC activities, and ensure that all construction work meets the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) in line with project specifications.
• Plan, coordinate, and participate in QA/QC task planning alongside construction operations.
• Review prime contract and subcontract specifications to identify quality requirements and ensure compliance.
• Liaise with client QA/QC representatives, third‑party testing agencies, and trade contractor quality personnel.
• Perform visual examinations, witness inspections and testing, monitor construction activities, and document results.
• Verify that suppliers and vendors meet project specifications for delivered materials.
• Provide technical assistance to craft and staff personnel in collaboration with the Quality Manager.
• Identify root causes of Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and present findings to project teams.
• Collect and compile quality turnover documentation for project closeout.
• Lead quality team meetings as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in quality control within the construction industry.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Craftsperson certificate or a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Excellent construction inspection skills across a broad range of scopes.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with quality‑related computer applications.
• Solid understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite.
