Quality Lead

About the role

The Quality Lead ensures consistent implementation of quality standards across all construction activities for ACCIONA’s infrastructure projects in Ontario. This role provides direct supervision, coordination and technical support to Quality Control Coordinators while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to meet project quality objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor and provide technical guidance to Quality Control Coordinators.
• Assign, schedule and monitor daily QC tasks to ensure timely execution.
• Oversee field inspections, material testing and quality checks, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
• Review and validate inspection reports and Non‑Conformance Reports before submission.
• Maintain accurate documentation and traceability of inspections, test results and QC activities.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and third‑party inspectors to ensure compliance with approved quality plans.
• Assist the Construction Quality Control Manager in updating the Construction Quality Management Plan.
• Collaborate with construction teams to promptly address and resolve non‑conformances.
• Monitor compliance with Inspection and Test Plans, project specifications and quality procedures.
• Conduct regular quality briefings and training sessions for site personnel.
• Lead internal quality audits and support external audit readiness.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction quality management.
• Strong supervisory and mentorship abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills for scheduling and tracking QC tasks.
• Effective communication skills for coordination with subcontractors, suppliers and inspectors.
• Detail‑oriented approach to documentation and reporting.

Required skills
