Quality Engineer

About the role

Napoleon is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead continuous improvement initiatives across North America, OEM, and pass‑through businesses. The role supports global product launches, product changes, and production teams to ensure the highest quality standards for home comfort products.

Key responsibilities

• Execute all tasks for New Product Launches (Stage Gate) and Change Notifications (ECO) for North America, OEM, and pass‑through products.
• Complete Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Product Quality Verification (PQV) and maintain related documentation.
• Develop and apply flow charts, FMEAs, control plans, and value‑stream maps to drive quality.
• Conduct capability studies, statistical process control (Cp/CPK), and data analysis to address business issues.
• Lead root‑cause investigations, implement corrective actions (CARs), and follow up on their effectiveness.
• Collaborate with product development, project management, manufacturing engineering, and production leadership.
• Support product testing and ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as CSA, KIWA, and Intertek.

Required profile

• Experience with new product launches (Stage Gate) and engineering change orders (ECO).
• Knowledge of PPAP and PQV processes and documentation.
• Ability to conduct capability studies and apply statistical process control.
• Proven problem‑solving skills and ability to lead cross‑functional quality initiatives.
