Quality Control Manager

About the role

Black & McDonald’s Power Generation team is seeking a Quality Control Manager to lead the implementation of the Quality Program on client sites in Bowmanville. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Director, the role ensures that all construction activities meet the highest safety and quality standards while coordinating with inspectors, subcontractors and regulatory bodies.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the Quality Program, including preparation of Inspection & Test Plans and Manufacturer’s Data Reports.
• Supervise and direct QC Inspectors, ensuring accurate work sign‑off and documentation.
• Monitor compliance with client FME programs, Black & McDonald standards, and applicable codes and regulations.
• Conduct receipt, in‑process and final inspections and tests, recording results and managing non‑conforming items.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, authorized inspection agencies, and subcontractors.
• Verify and control dispositions of non‑conformances and ensure timely completion of event reports.
• Support the Quality Management System and promote safe handling of measurement and test equipment.
