Quality Control Manager – ASME Pressure Vessel Fabrication

About the role

Lead quality operations for complex pressure vessel, boiler and welded piping projects serving nuclear and conventional industrial markets. Own the QC system, inspections and team performance in a senior manufacturing leadership role.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop and oversee a team of 4–5 quality professionals.
• Manage the QC system and coordinate inspection activities across multiple fabrication projects.
• Develop and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), NDE requirements, weld maps and inspection documentation.
• Oversee dimensional, fit‑up, visual and welding inspections, including NDE, hydro‑testing and PWHT.
• Manage welding procedure and welder qualifications (WPS, PQR, WPQ).
• Drive non‑conformance resolution, corrective actions, internal audits and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate inspections, hold points and approvals with customers and TSSA Authorized Inspectors.
• Ensure complete, accurate and compliant final quality documentation.

Required profile

• Senior‑level QC experience in pressure vessel, boiler or code‑governed welded fabrication.
• Strong working knowledge of ASME Sections I, V, VIII and IX.
• Experience with CSA N285.0 and N299 nuclear quality requirements.
• CWB Level 2 Welding Inspector certification.
• Proven ability to lead QC personnel in a fast‑paced fabrication environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Authorization to work in Canada.
