Quality Control Inspector – Night Shift

About the role

Join Armstrong Fluid Technology’s Quality team on the night shift, inspecting incoming parts, in‑process components and finished products to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and company specifications. The role supports cross‑functional teams, reports non‑conformances and helps drive corrective actions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct incoming and pre‑shipment quality inspections of parts, assemblies and experimental prototypes using standard inspection tools.
• Release Non‑Conformance Reports (NCR) with detailed root‑cause analysis and maintain electronic inspection records.
• Participate in daily QA meetings to review NCR dispositions and corrective actions.
• Perform ad‑hoc inspections related to warranty issues and handle segregation of non‑conforming parts.

Required profile

• High School Diploma (Engineering Technician Diploma preferred).
• Minimum 2 years experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis abilities.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with GD&T.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Commitment to health and safety policies.

Required skills

• Use of calipers, micrometers and height gauges for dimensional inspection.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality system requirements.
• Interpretation of engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T).
• Root‑cause analysis and non‑conformance reporting.
