QA Manager (Automation) – Remote (Canada)

About the role

The QA Manager will lead a remote Quality Assurance team delivering high‑quality software products for a Canadian client. This 6‑month fixed‑term role focuses on building and executing test automation strategies while overseeing manual testing as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement QA strategy, standards and best practices across projects.
• Manage, mentor and grow a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality.
• Collaborate with Product, Development and DevOps to align QA processes with business goals.
• Design, develop and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web, API and mobile applications.
• Drive automation coverage for regression, smoke and performance testing and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Oversee test planning, execution and reporting for functional, integration and system testing.
• Ensure effective defect tracking, root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Establish metrics and KPIs to measure quality and team performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of QA experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven expertise in test automation frameworks and scripting languages.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
