Public Relations Specialist

About the role

EY is seeking a Public Relations Specialist to partner with Brand, Marketing and Communications teams. You will help shape and execute integrated PR strategies that raise EY’s external profile, secure media coverage, and align business priorities with market conversations.

Key responsibilities

• Connect PR initiatives to business goals, firm priorities and broader BMC objectives.
• Provide strategic counsel, interview preparation and media‑training support to EY leaders and spokespeople.
• Draft and edit press releases, key messages, briefing documents, talking points, statements, bylined articles, social media posts and blogs.
• Build and maintain relationships with national, local and trade media, leveraging editorial calendars and news cycles.
• Own proactive media plans and materials for industries, service lines, events and sponsorships.
• Manage multiple requests across industry groups while balancing stakeholder expectations.
• Stay engaged with news, market trends, public policy and economic issues to identify proactive opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven PR professional with sharp news judgment and strong writing instincts.
• Curious and plugged into the Canadian media landscape.
• Ability to spot timely angles and translate complex business issues into clear stories.
• Proactive, collaborative and motivated to shape EY’s external voice.
